Disha Ravi,
a 21-year-old climate activist who has been accused of editing the “toolkit” on
farmers protest, was arrested by Delhi police from her house in Soladevanahalli
in Bengaluru on early Sunday. Following the investigation into January 26
violence during the farmer’s tractor rally, the toolkit, which was shared by Swedish environmental activist Greta
Thunberg on Twitter on February 3, was probed by the police. According to media reports, Ravi has been
charged with sedition, planning a criminal conspiracy and promotion of
antipathy amongst groups under several sections of India Penal Code (IPC).

Ravi, a
graduate of Mount Carmel College is one of the founders of the “Friday for
Future” (FFF) campaign in India, initiated by Thunberg as a global climate
strike movement in 2018. Under this campaign school strikes are organized for
climate activism every Friday.
Ravi is
employed as a culinary experience manager at a company that produces
plant-based foods, as per her social media handles, says reports.

Swedish
activist through the toolkit advised everyone about how to support the farmers
protesting against Indian government’s three farm laws. However, claimed has
been made by Delhi police that the “toolkit” was created by pro-khalistani
forces.
Although,
now the original toolkit which targeted for a digital strike on or before
January 26 to support protesting farmers has been removed by Thunberg.
