Former Indian team batsman Yuvraj
Singh on Sunday hit a half century against Sri Lanka Legends in the final of the
Road Safety World Series. The batsman brought up his 50 in 35 balls, hitting Dhammika Prasad for a boundary.

Assisted by the able batting of Yusuf Pathan, the former hitter-of-six-sixes played yet another big innings, as he clamped down on the Sri Lankan bowling attack after it created some pressure on the Indian side towards the beginning of the innings.

The opening pair of Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag departed early, with the former scoring 30 runs and Sehwag departing in the third over of the inning.

The hitting spree for Singh, however, eventually came to an end, as a Weeraratne delivery saw the left-handed batsman caught in the long-on by MF Maharoof, but not before causing hitting four boundaries and four sixers, scoring a total of 60 runs off 41 balls.
