On Eid-al-Adha Muslims sacrifice four-legged animals (goat or sheep or camel) in remembrance of Prophet Ibrahim who agreed to the sacrifice of his son Ismail for his duty and love for Allah. Ismail was replaced by a sheep as Allah was happy with the devotion shown by Prophet Ibrahim.
