Gunfire hits Korn’s tour bus in Iowa while outside hotel

California-based metal band Korn’s tour bus was hit by gunfire overnight on Friday in Iowa, TMZ reported. At least one shot hit the vehicle. 

The tour bus was parked outside a hotel in Davenport just 24 hours before the show when the incident took place. The band is almost nearing the end of the US leg of its global tour. 

The bullet pierced the exterior wall of the bus, a source close to the situation told TMZ, adding that it was found inside the cabin.

A spokesperson for the Davenport Police Department said that a single bullet was shot at the vehicle. However, no details were revealed about the shooter.

No one was injured as the vehicle was unoccupied at the time of the shooting. Davenport police said that they are investigating the incident. Police did not release any other information related to the gunfire.

Korn — with Chevelle and Code Orange — was due to play Friday at 6:30 p.m. at TaxSlayer Center, 1201 River Dr., Moline.

Korn began the US leg of its global tour on March 4 in Springfield, Missouri with several stops including Albany, Minneapolis and Hershey, Pennsylvania.

The US leg will conclude on April 1 in Wichita, Kansas.

Korn recently released their new studio album, Requiem, via Loma Vista Recordings, following which they headed out for their global tour.
