American history and
politics has intrigued the minds of many people. A glance into the lives of
American Presidents, their lobbies, their favourite books, their photographs –
all have an essence of royalty attached to it. In honour of the President’s Day,  a day that celebrates all former and current
Presidents, presidential artefacts will be on sale in an online bidding at RR
auction, an auction house in Boston, The New York Times reported.

Many personal items of
presidents, including letters, photographs among others are up for bidding
until Thursday.

Some of the treasures
offered by the auction house include a 1768 lottery ticket signed by Washington
that is up for sale for at least $20,000. The lottery ticket was a strategy to
raise funds for construction of a road through the Allegheny Mountains.

locks were considered to be souvenir in those times, given to loved ones.

A photograph of Lincoln and
his son, Tad, who dies at the age of 18, signed by the president is also up for
grabs for roughly $75,000.
