Its Pawsome: Here is how netizens celebrated International Dog Day

The world is celebrating International Dog Day on August 26th. Without a doubt, dog parents love and adore their dogs 365 days of the year. However, many of them chose to make the day special flooding the internet with pictures of their furry friends.

From Chennai Super Kings to Royal Challengers Banglore, all the IPL franchises joined the celebrations by sharing pictures of their star players posing with their dogs. “2020s been ruff, here’s spreading some pawsitivity this,” tweeted Kings XI Punjab, while Mumbai Indians wrote, “Thanks fur everything.”

Actor Pulkit Samrat shared a cute picture of his pet dog Drogo on Instagram.”Kyunki apun ka doggie international hai,” he wrote sharing the picture. Model and actress, Diana Penty also shared in Twitter a picture of her pet dog Vicky and wrote, “All dressed up coz it’s Vicky’s day.”

Preity Zinta used the occasion to Thank her Dutchie Bruno. “Dogs are not our whole life but they make our life whole,” she wrote. Shraddha Kapoor also thanked Shyloh, her pet pup for coming into her life and “spreading so much love and joy.”

International organisations like NATO and WWF also didn’t shy away from expressing their love for dogs.

While NATO shared a picture of Mufly, a specially trained search and rescue dog supporting Military Emergency Units disaster response efforts, WWF (UK) celebrated the day by sharing a post on India’s wildlife sniffer dog squad, stating how animals are helping animals.
