The final night of the Republican National Convention in Charlotte was supposed to be marked by Donald Trump’s acceptance speech for a second bid as the US President. But what caught the eye of social media users was the dress worn by First Lady Melania Trump and the moment when she greeted her stepdaughter Ivanka Trump.

Melania turned up at the final night of the convention in a flashy green gown by Valentino. The electric lime shade of the dress was the same that is used while video editing for green screen effects.

Ivanka Trump, the omnipresent first daughter who may harbor White House ambitions of her own, has remained her president father’s loyal senior advisor, seeking to humanize him Thursday as she introduced the “warrior” standing for reelection in November. Of Donald Trump’s five children, Ivanka was the only one invited to address the final night of the Republican National Convention — interpreted as a sign of the president’s closeness to her.

After she had introduced the US President, she was greeted by Melania with a smile as she was walking off the stage. The smile soon turned into an eye roll, a moment that netizens were quick to catch on to and turn into memes.
