%u2018Wonder%20Woman%201984%u2019%20is%20set%20to%20release%20on%20Thursday.%20Wherever%20the%20film%20has%20already%20released%20worldwide%2C%20the%20reviews%20have%20been%20overwhelmingly%20good%2C%20something%20that%20the%20DC%20cinematic%20universe%20would%20want%20in%20order%20to%20keep%20up%20with%20Marvel.

DC%20movies%20have%20been%20more%20misses%20than%20hits%20for%20the%20last%20decade%2C%20especially%20after%20Christopher%20Nolan%u2019s%20trilogy.%20Having%20said%20that%2C%20let%27s%20take%20a%20look%20at%20the%20top%2010%20DC%20comic%20movies%2C%20ranked%20in%20order%3A%26nbsp%3B%26nbsp%3B

It%20goes%20without%20saying%20that%20this%20film%20will%20top%20every%20DC%20fan%u2019s%20favourites.%20From%20Heath%20Ledger%u2019s%20legendary%20performance%20to%20Nolan%u2019s%20storytelling%2C%20it%27s%20hard%20to%20find%20any%20fault%20in%20this%20one.%20Even%20Marvel%20fans%20cannot%20deny%20the%20sheer%20brilliance%20of%20this%20film.%26nbsp%3B

%u2018Batman%20Begins%u2019%20resurrected%20Gotham%u2019s%20superhero%20from%20the%20trash%20Batman%20movies%20that%20disappointed%20fans%20year%20after%20year.%20Nolan%20was%20able%20to%20not%20only%20make%20Batman%20more%20menacing%20than%20ever%20seen%20in%20a%20live%20action%20movie%2C%20but%20he%20also%20made%20Bruce%20Wayne%20an%20equally%20interesting%20character.%20The%20casting%20of%20Christian%20Bale%20too%20paid%20off.%26nbsp%3B

Yes%2C%20this%201993%20film%20is%20animated%2C%20yes%20it%20tops%20most%20of%20the%20live%20action%20movies.%20Based%20on%20the%20popular%20animated%20series%2C%20this%20film%20had%20one%20of%20the%20most%20beautifully%20layered%20stories.%20Batman%20fought%20to%20save%20Gotham%20while%20battling%20the%20demons%20of%20his%20past%20and%20the%20pain%20of%20a%20lost%20love.%26nbsp%3B

Back%20in%202017%2C%20this%20Patty%20Jenkins%20film%20beat%20Marvel%20to%20become%20the%20first%20major%20comic%20book%20film%20to%20have%20a%20female%20lead.%20Gal%20Gadot%20proved%20to%20be%20the%20perfect%20Wonder%20Woman.%20The%20WWI%20battle%20scenes%20as%20well%20as%20the%20cute%20love%20story%20with%26nbsp%3B%20Chris%20Pine%u2019s%20character%2C%20this%20film%20had%20all%20the%20right%20elements.%26nbsp%3B

Audiences%20were%20introduced%20to%20the%20Joker%2C%20one%20of%20the%20greatest%20villains%20of%20the%20superhero%20world%2C%20at%20quite%20a%20later%20stage%20in%20his%20life%20in%20the%20first%20film%20of%20this%20list.%20Arthur%20Fleck%u2019s%20origin%20is%20something%20that%20%u201Cfans%u201D%20of%20the%20cinematic%20universe%20deserved%20and%20Todd%20Phillips%20delivered%20it%20on%20a%20golden%20plate.%20Joaquin%20Phoenix%20was%20exceptional%20and%20deserved%20that%20Oscar.%26nbsp%3B

It%27s%20not%20advised%20to%20compare%20this%20Zack%20Snyder%20film%20to%20the%20graphic%20novel%2C%20however%2C%20the%20brilliant%20opening%20sequence%20almost%20makes%20up%20for%20it.%20Jackie%20Earle%20Haley%20gave%20a%20great%20performance%20and%20Snyder%20was%20able%20to%20Dr.%20Manhattan%u2019s%20origin%20story.

Not%20much%20was%20expected%20from%20this%20film%20before%20the%20release%2C%20but%20it%20turned%20out%20to%20be%20a%20surprise%20hit%20and%20rightfully%20so.%20Zachary%20Levi%20was%20just%20the%20perfect%20cast%20and%20director%20David%20F.%20Sandberg%20was%20able%20to%20deliver%20something%20that%20for%20a%20change%20was%20not%20one%20of%20those%20brooding%20and%20dark%20origin%20stories.%26nbsp%3B

Nolan%u2019s%20third%20chapter%20was%20good%2C%20but%20the%20other%20two%20films%20overshadowed%20it%20a%20bit%20too%20much.%20Nolan%20tried%20a%20lot%20of%20things%2C%20but%20it%20just%20did%20not%20fit%20in%20perfectly.%20Some%20of%20the%20scenes%20are%20still%20memorable%2C%20some%20elements%20worked%20their%20magic%20%28except%20Bane%u2019s%20voice%29%20but%20the%20film%20always%20left%20the%20question%20of%20what%20a%20better%20film%20could%u2019ve%20done%20to%20the%20trilogy.

Despite%20all%20the%20criticisms%2C%20Henry%20Cavill%20will%20always%20be%20an%20underrated%20Superman%20and%20deserves%20more%20credit%20than%20he%20is%20given.%20Hans%20Zimmer%20once%20again%20worked%20his%20magic%20and%20while%20the%20storytelling%20and%20execution%20could%20have%20been%20much%20better%2C%20the%202013%20film%20is%20better%20than%20most%20DC%20outings.%26nbsp%3B

When%20Aquaman%20was%20released%2C%20it%20made%20a%20big%20%u201Csplash%u201D%20and%20even%20the%20makers%20were%20surprised%20that%20it%20became%20such%20a%20hit.%20Jason%20Momoa%u2019s%20fan%20following%20was%20definitely%20a%20reason%20but%20horror%20expert%20James%20Wan%20brought%20in%20certain%20elements%2C%20including%20the%20CGI%2C%20that%20clicked.%20The%20execution%20could%20have%20been%20definitely%20better%2C%20but%20nonetheless%2C%20it%20set%20a%20decent%20base%20for%20future%20attempts.%26nbsp%3B

The%20previous%20Justice%20League%20was%20not%20even%20worth%20mentioning%2C%20but%20The%20Snyder%20Cut%20is%20something%20that%20every%20fan%20is%20excited%20for%20and%20there%20is%20a%20high%20chance%20it%20might%20make%20it%20to%20this%20list.
