Bundesliga: Stuttgart crush Dortmund, Bayern held against Union Berlin

Borussia Dortmund 1-5 VFB Stuttgart

Hosts Borussia
Dortmund were humiliated after VFB Stuttgart scored 3 goals within 10 minutes in the Bundesliga on Saturday. Stuttgart, trained by the American coach Pellegrino Matarazzo, showcased their
best form and remained undefeated this season after the match ended 5-1.

While Philipp Förster,
Tanguy Coulibaly and Nicolás González scored one goal each Silas Wamangituka
scored two goals for Stuttgart.

In his third season with Dortmund, coach Lucien Favre’s side were handed a humiliating
defeat
, with Giovanni Reyna managing to score one goal for the side. Losing
six of the eight games at their home ground, Dortmund fall to fifth place with
19 points while Stuttgart slides up to the sixth place with 17 points.

Union Berlin 1-1 Bayern Munich

Robert Lewandowski
saved the day for Bayern Munich as the team levelled the game with a single goal
against Union Berlin in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Midfielder Grischa Prömel’s
header in the 4th minute took Union Berlin to a lead. However, Bayern’s
top scorer Lewandowski scored a rescue goal in the 67th minute.

Despite winning only one of
their last four league games, Bayern Munich with 24 points will keep their top spot on
the table, sidelining RB Leipzig on goal difference. RB Leipzig took a 2-0 win against Werder Bremen in Saturday’s match.
