The Canadian Football League may play lesser football than the NFL, but they have some of the finest touchdown celebrations anywhere.

Chad Kelly, the quarterback for the Toronto Argonauts, who was dismissed from Clemson before starting at Ole Miss, scored on a touchdown run with just over two minutes remaining in the game and put his team up by eight points over the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

As the team gathered in the end zone to celebrate what at the time appeared to be an imminent triumph (which it was; Toronto won, 31-15), everyone sat down applesauce-cross.

They all pretended to eat, then drink, then passed food to one another in unison in one of the finest orchestrated parties you’ll ever see. They went through the cycle again before getting up and going bonkers.

In his second year with the Argonauts, Kelly has the team undefeated. The Denver Broncos selected him in the seventh round of the drafting in 2017; he was released the following year. After that, he played for the Indianapolis Colts for a season.

Last season, the 29-year-old headed north to play backup quarterback for the Argonauts, but McLeod Bethel-Thompson’s injury in the Grey Cup forced Kelly to enter the game late in the third quarter. He led the final drive that gave the Argonauts a 24-23 victory and their 18th league title.

Kelly completed 20 of his 27 throws, two of which went for touchdowns, against the Tiger Cats.

Kelly led his Rebels to a 48-20 Sugar Bowl victory over Oklahoma State in which he threw for four touchdowns, three of which went to Laquon Treadwell. Kelly was named the game’s MVP.

Due to his behavior, Kelly was let go from both Clemson and the Broncos. He even served a two-game NFL suspension for transgressing the league’s code of conduct.
