The 2021
edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) boils down to a blockbuster
encounter between the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)
in the final at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday. Three-time champions
CSK bounced back in style from last year’s debacle to storm into the final
after dominating the group stage, while KKR had a more short-term comeback,
turning around a season in jeopardy into one on the brink of glory in spectacular
fashion.

The enticing
clash will see two World Cup winning captains – Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Eoin
Morgan – lead their respective sides into one final battle of skill and grit. The
clash has got fans and experts excited, with predictions pouring in about where
the match will be won and lost and which players will be the key to success.
Former England
captain Michael Vaughan had his say on the matter, predicting which team will go
on to lift trophy tonight, as well as saying which player will shine the most
and earn man-of-the-match.

“As all my
predictions this year have been spot on… I think @ChennaiIPL will win the
Final today… Man of the match will be @imjadeja #IPL2021Final,” Vaughan said
on Twitter.
CSK have three
IPL titles from a record eight finals – they will play their ninth final
tonight – while Gautam Gambhir led KKR to two titles in 2012 and 2014 – the
first of which they won by beating Dhoni’s side.
