Is Erica Herman accusing Tiger Woods of sexual assault or harassment? Golfer’s girlfriend files lawsuit citing federal Speak Out Act
Tiger Woods’ recent girlfriend Erica Herman filed a lawsuit against him, as per TMZ, seeking to nullify an NDA that prohibits her from talking about their relationship. She has cited the federal Speak Out Act in her documents, according to which, the NDA can be nullified if evidence of sexual assault or harassment is presented.
As per the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Herman alleges that Woods made her sign an NDA around August 2017. She further adds that a private trust that he runs is attempting to steamroll her into keeping quiet about their relationship.
While there is no spilt between the two publicly, it seems like they have broken up. They were last photographed together at tennis’ US Open on August 31, 2022.
Woods and Herman sparked dating rumours when they were spotted cosying up at the Presidents Cup in New Jersey in October 2017. A picture of Herman hugging Woods went viral on social media. People noticed that she was wearing a “player spouse” badge that is usually reserved for wives and girlfriends. They went public with their relationship the following month.
She was then seen cheering for him at the 80th PGA at the Tour Championship, at East Lake, Georgia.
Before dating Herman, Woods was married to Elin Nordegren. They tied the knot in 2004 and divorced in 2010 amid reports of his infidelity. He then dated Kristin Smith. They split in August 2017. Woods also once dated Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn.
