Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut’s lawyer has filed a plea in Bombay High Court against the demolition drive by Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) at her property, reported ANI.

BMC on Wednesday started demolitions for ‘unlawful constructions’ at Kangana Ranaut’s Mumbai bungalow.

The BMC, replying to the actor’s lawyer, stated “After receipt of the notice, you continued the work…So, the notice structure as mentioned in the notice is liable for forthwith demolition at your risk, cost & consequences.”

Actor Kangana Ranaut, who was returning to Mumbai from Himachal Pradesh tweeted images of the demolition and wrote “Babur and his army.”

Earlier on Wednesday, the actor’s lawyer issued a statement saying “No work being carried out by Kangana Ranaut in her premises as falsely understood by you(BMC),” adding “Stop Work Notice, is absolutely bad-in-law and appears to have been issued only to intimidate her by misusing your dominant position”, as per ANI report.

The Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai on Wednesday had posted a notice outside the actor’s Manikarnika Film office in Mumbai, alleging unlawful construction on the premises.

A team of BMC officials had also visited the bungalow of the actor situated in the Pali Hill area of suburban Bandra and had posted the notice.
