Los Angeles Lakers star Lebron James has agreed to a deal extension of two years with his franchise. This is according to a report bt The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

James has won titles with three different teams (Cleveland and Miami apart from Lakers) and is the first player in history to be named Finals MVP with three different franchises.

The 16-time All-Star averaged 25.3 points, a league-leading 10.2 assists, 7.8 rebounds and 1.2 steals in the 2020 season. In the playoffs, he shot 56% from the field as Lakers won their first title since 2010.

In the 2003 NBA Draft, James was picked up by his hometown team, the Cleveland Cavaliers. In his first season, he became the franchise’s first player, and the youngest player ever, to win the NBA Rookie of the Year Award.

LeBron spent his first seven seasons in the NBA with the Cleveland Cavaliers, winning the title in 2007/08.He joined the Miami Heat in the 2010-11 season as a free agent. The team won back-to-back championships in 2012 and 2013 with LeBron earning Finals MVP awards in each campaign.
