NBA Finals: Stephen Curry resets 3-pointer streak with flawless shot

Stephen Curry is back from his slump. The Golden State Warriors guard scored a flawless 3-pointer on Thursday in Game 6 of the NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics. The star player broke his legendary streak in the last game.
Breaking out from his cold phase, Curry had a 1000 IQ moment on the court. The ‘Splash Brothers’ were back in their element. Curry swooped past the arc with a consistent dribble and passed the ball to Klay Thompson.

Smartly enough, Curry then ran outside the arc and waited for a small loft pass from Thompson. The All-Star, with a quick leap, managed to convert the shot into a 3-pointer. The crowd erupted.

The Golden State Warriors were still recovering from a fierce offensive from the Boston Celtics, which broke out in the first quarter itself. The Celtics were leading the game by 12 points.
However, a productive counter-offensive from the Warriors helped the team get their lead back. Minutes before the half-time buzzer, Golden State Warriors had an 18-point lead.
Curry, known to be one of the greatest 3-pointer shooters of all time, broke his streak in Game 5 of the finals against the Boston Celtics. He had scored at least one 3-pointer in the last 233 games– 133 games longer than anyone else in NBA history.

Curry going cold in the third quarter of Game 5 could have done serious harm to the Golden State Warriors. Andrew Wiggings stepped and up and rescued the team.
The Golden State Warriors are playing Game 6 of the finals with a statistical advantage. Teams that win Game 5 after a deadlock have an 82.2% chance of winning the finals, according to stats released by the NBA.
