Novak Djokovic has scripted history once again as he beat Nick Kyrgios 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, 7-6 to secure his seventh title at the All England Club. The title also marked his fourth straight title at Wimbledon, a feat that is enviable to many.
The world no. 3 had a noteworthy campaign at Wimbledon 2022. He overcame the challenge of Cameron Norrie (semifinal), Jannik Sinner (quarterfinal) and others to qualify for the final. While Kyrgios had a 100% win record against the Serbian, Djokovic scripted a comeback win to clinch the Grand Slam.

Second-most Grand Slam wins
Djokovic leapfrogged Swiss tennis great Roger Federer by winning the Wimbledon 2022. The victory marked the Serbian’s 21st Grand Slam win, compared to Federer’s 20. The world no. 3 is currently behind only Rafael Nadal, who has won 22 Grand Slam titles and is in the top spot.
Fourth straight Wimbledon victory
The Serbian has now won the Wimbledon men’s singles for the fourth consecutive time, emerging victorious in the 2018, 2019, 2021 and 2022 editions (2020 edition was cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic).
He is also the eighth player to win Wimbledon four consecutive times or more.
Second-highest Wimbledon titles won
The Serbian’s victory over Nick Kyrgios at the Wimbledon 2022 final means he has now won seven titles at the All England Club. This achievement is only second best to that of Roger Federer, who has won the title on eight occasions.A

The 35-year-old has now appeared in 32 Grand Slam finals. Out of those 32, he has won the title 21 times and finished runner up 11 times — equal with Roger Federer and Ivan Lendl. He has also played in the Wimbledon 17 times since his debut and has finished at the quarterfinal or higher 13 times.

The world no. 3 has participated in 96 matches at the Wimbledon till date, winning 86 and losing 10 with a win percentage of 90%. This has helped him in winning seven titles at the All England Club, a desirable feat for many.
