Fourth-placed Juventus took on their local rivals Torino on home turf in what turned out to be an interesting but perhaps underwhelming Derby della Mole.
Juventus went into the match with the stellar record of not having lost a single Turin derby since 2015, when goals from Fabio Quagliarella and Matteo Darmian sunk the Bianconeri in a 2-1 loss.

Torino started the stronger side, dominating possession and creating some early chances, but could not capitalise on their early dominance. However, Juventus quickly grew into the game, and came close to scoring the opener when Adrien Rabiot’s shot creeped past the Torino goal post.
However, the Bianconeri did not have to wait too long to get the lead as their record defensive signing, Matthijs de Ligt, rose to head home a whipped corner from Juan Cuadrado in the 13th minute.

The half ended 1-0 in Juventus’ favour but the scoreline did not reflect what was a pretty even half in terms of chances.
The away side started the second half strongly too, forcing a save from Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny in the 50th minute.
The visitors pressed on for their equaliser, and finally found it in the 62nd minute when Josip Brekalo made an impressive run down the wing to put in a cross for striker Andrea Belotti, who volleyed home. Torino looked like they would grab the lead minutes later, but Szczęsny parried the effort to concede a corner.

As the game went on, both the home and away sides turned to the bench to try and find the winner, but the match grew calmer as the clocked ticked on, finishing 1-1 at full-time.
While Juventus will feel disappointed with the result, given their stellar record in the Derby della Mole, Torino will be happy with a point, having ended a two-game losing streak.
Juventus remain fourth in the Serie A table with 47 points, while Torino are 10th with 33.
