So close but so far: Diaz is the best loser post UFC thriller vs Edwards

In a five-round UFC 263, Leon Edwards survived a near finish in the final minute to defeat Nate Diaz. The Brit earned a unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-46).

Edwards dominated for a major chunk of the welterweight bout. He put his strong leg kick game and boxing skills to use. But the crowd, in Diaz’s corner, cheered loud when the 36-year-old turned his back toward Edwards, put his hands up to signal, “Come on.”
Diaz kept taking hits and getting back at Edwards again. In the final minute, a bloodied Nate Diaz delivered some strong strikes that almost led to his victory. However, Edwards held on till the bell rang.
