Regarding the match, the five-time Super Bowl MVP had earlier said, “For me, it’s just a blessing to have those types of memories and experiences. I’ve been very blessed to be a part of great teams that got to this point and then had a lot of big wins”.

Hogan is known to be a long-time New England Patriots fan, the team with which Brady has won six Super Bowls. Pro-wrestling website Wrestling Inc. had earlier quoted him expressing his love for the Patriots:

“I am a Patriots fan, I love New England and I was the champion for a long time up in your area, brother,” further adding, “But I got something for you. With the world title belt around your waist and hanging in the locker room with the Patriots, you guys got a piece of Hulk Hogan there, Jack.”

John Daly, the legendary golfer, also has an intimate connection with football. He was close to getting recruited by the Indianapolis Colts, and would have done the same had he not qualified for the 1991 PGA Championship. However, he did make the cut, and the rest as they say, is history.
