Staff members at a hospital in the United Kingdom performed ballet for a five-year-old, who is battling cancer. Izzy Fletcher from Worcester was left in joy after staff at Worcestershire Royal Hospital performed ballet dance to cheer the five-year-old.

Dressed in bright-coloured tutus, Dr Baylon Kamalarajan and Emma Maunder tiptoed in Fletcher’s rooms to dance while the girl gave them instructions.

“When Ballet-mad Izzy came into our Children’s Clinic for her cancer treatment on Friday, two of the team surprised her with a very special routine…” Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust wrote on social media while sharing the video.

“Huge thanks to Baylon and Emma for the lovely surprise, and well done Izzy for *literally* keeping them on their toes!” the Trust further wrote in the post.

Replying to the video, The Royal Ballet replied wrote, “Get well soon Izzy! We hope to see you dancing again soon.”

Fletcher is battling lymphoblastic leukaemia and started her treatment in 2017, which was completed in May 2019. According to a BBC report, the five-year-old required further treatment and chemotherapy.

The hospital staff picked up on Fletcher’s love of ballet during her treatment and spent time reading her ballet stories.
