After Chelsea went 3-0 down to Brighton at half-time on match day 14 of the Premier League at Falmer Stadium on Saturday, the Brighton fans could not help but take a dig at their former boss Graham Potter who now manages Chelsea.
They started chanting at Graham Potter: “You’re getting sacked in the morning”.

Chelsea put up a dismal performance in the first half of the match after Leandro Trossard’s opening goal in the 5th minute was followed by two own goals by Ruben Loftus-Cheek (14′) and Trevor Chalobah (42′).
Potter moved to Chelsea early this season after former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was sacked. He was in Brighton from May 20th, 2019, and took the club to new glory during his two and half seasons there. Brighton beat Liverpool at Anfield 3-1 and Tottenham at home by one goal to none. Early in the 2022-23 season, he became the first manager to win at Old Trafford after Brighton defeated Manchester United 2-1.
He moved to Chelsea on a £12 million per year contract and is currently one of the highest-paid managers in the League.

Chelsea started the second half well after Kai Havertz scored the first equaliser in the 48th minute. However, since then, Brighton was able to hold Chelsea’s pressure well and did not allow the visitors to score the second goal. The win for Brighton was then sealed after Pascal Grob made the score 4-1 in the 92nd minute.
Chelsea did not start the season well after a tumultuous year that saw Russian owner Roman Abramovich sell the club to Todd Boley, a US billionaire after the Russia-Ukraine war broke out. Former manager Thomas Tuchel, who won Chelsea their second UEFA Champions League in 2021 was sacked after he did not get along well with the new owners.
With today’s loss, Potter’s Chelsea will be fifth in the table with 21 points from 12 matches.
