Apple Event 2021: Environment-friendly products make it to the release lineup
- Apple released iPhone 13, iPad Mini and Apple Watch
- Antennas of iPhone 13 will partially be made out recycled plastic
- Apple Watch's display glass will not use arsenic
Apple Event 2021 seems to be an environmental deal for the tech giant as many of its newly released products, including the iPad mini and Apple Watch, have earth-friendly aspects.
The Keynote speakers, which included Apple CEO Tim Cook, announced that the products will be made using a case that is “100% recycled aluminium”.

In the newly released iPhone 13, including its mini variation, will have its outer antennas partially made out of recycled plastic, a keynote speaker announced at the Apple Event 2021 on Tuesday.
A graphic presented in the event, the company indicated that the taptic engine in the Apple Watch will be created out of 100% recycled tungsten. In addition, 100% recycled tun will be used in the “solder of the system in package.”

All magnets that will be used in the upcoming Apple Watch will be made using “100% recycled rare earth elements. While the display glass of the tech product will not use any arsenic, elements like mercury, PVO, BFR and beryllium will also be eliminated.
The keynote speaker also announced that “more than 110 suppliers are committed to 100% renewable energy for Apple”. A graphic showed that Apple Watch Series 7 meets the requirements set by California Energy Commission.
The iPad mini was redesigned by Apple and has features like a USB-C port, boosted speeds of the GPU and CPU, 2nd Gen Apple Pencil Support, 12MP ultra-wide camera with center stage. The product will be available for users in 5 colours.
The iPhone 13 will feature a water-resistant feature, which is being described as notably better than what the product’s predecessors had. The display size of the iPhone 13 will be 6.1 inches while the iPhone 13 mini will carry a 5.4-inch screen. Both versions of the new iPhone will have “Super Retina XDR Display”.
