The union home ministry on Wednesday said that there has been no infiltration along the Indo-China border in the last six months.

Replying to a question by Rajya Sabha MP Dr Anil Agarwal in Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for home affairs Nityanand Rai said, “No infiltration has been reported along the Indo-China border in the last six months.”

He further stated the number of infiltration attempts made by Pakistan from February. He said, “Number of cases of attempted infiltration along India-Pakistan border during last 6 months are – Feb 0, March 4, April 24, May 8, June 0, Jul 11.”

The clarifications came after Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday, addressed the Parliament, during the ongoing Monsoon Session on the India-China border row. He said, “China doesn’t recognise the traditional and customary alignment of the boundary. We consider that this alignment is based on well established geographical principals.”

He added, “India and China border issue remains unresolved. Till now, there has been no mutually acceptable solution. China disagrees on border.”
