American model Chrissy Teigen gets inked to honour memory of her lost child

The co-host of American musical reality show Lip sync battle, Chrissy Teigen paid tribute to the son she and husband John Legend lost in October.

She took on to Twitter to post a photo that shows the couple holding hands across a table, as the tattoo of her son’s name- Jack, written on her wrist in cursive.

The cookbook author got married to Legend in 2013 and the couple announced that they were expecting their third child in August this year. Post the announcement, Teigen was hospitalised after suffering heavy bleeding. It was only in October that Teigen suffered some miscarriages, CNN reported.

Both of them had shared their sorrowful moment on social media by posting some pictures taken at the hospital. Chrissy also wrote a note explaining her personal experience with the loss. Teigen’s new tattoo joins one that reads “John Luna Miles” in honour of her husband and their two other children.

In her essay, she touched on how she and Legend have helped Luna, 4 and Miles, 2, understand the loss.

“Jack will always be loved, explained to our kids as existing in the wind and trees and the butterflies they see,” Teigen wrote. “Thank you so much to every single person who has had us in their thoughts or gone as far as to send us your love and stories. We are so incredibly lucky.”
