‘Beijing Biden is so weak on China’: Donald Trump Jr at RNC

Donald Trump Jr, President Donald Trump‘s eldest son spoke at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday, which is being held from August 24 to 27. Attacking the Democratic Party, he said, in the past “both parties believed in the goodness of America”.

“This time, the other party is attacking the very principles on which our nation was founded — freedom of thought, freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the rule of law,” he added.

Trump Jr credited his father for “the greatest prolonged recovery in American history”.

“Courtesy of the Chinese Communist Party, the virus struck,” Trump Jr said. In an attempt to ridicule the Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, Trump Jr. referred to him as “Beijing Biden”.

He claimed that, “Beijing Biden is so weak on China, that the intelligence community recently accessed that the Chinese Communist Party favours Biden.”

He also accused Biden of calling his father a ‘racist and a xenophobe’ for imposing travel restrictions on China, following the virus outbreak.

He also spoke on the issue of racism and acknowledged the custodial death of George Floyd at Minneapolis, Minnesota.

“What happened to George Floyd is a disgrace. And if you know a police officer, you know they agree with that, too,” Trump Jr. said.

“But we cannot lose sight of the fact that our police are American heroes. They deserve our deepest appreciation,” he added.
