Harlan Crow, a Texas real estate developer who was the subject of a recent ProPublica investigation, has come under fire for his uncomfortable close relationship with a Supreme Court justice and his habit of showing Nazi paraphernalia.
The ProPublica investigation of Harlan Crow’s decades-long relations to Clarence Thomas. Crow hosted Thomas and his wife aboard his superyacht, at his private resorts, and on private jet trips.

The report renewed Crow’s interest in one of his hobbies of collecting and displaying Nazi Germany artifacts, including objects directly linked to Adolf Hitler.

Shapiro faced outrage on social media for defending Crow. Crow’s collection was at least distasteful to many on social media. Here’s how users reacted:

According to a Washington, Crow’s collection includes a signed copy of Mein Kampf and paintings made by Hitler, who was a struggling artist in Vienna before coming to power in Germany. The paintings were reportedly displayed at his home with no context.
