Both directions of Interstate 5 in Yolo County shut down due to shooting
Due to a homicide investigation, Interstate 5 is closed close to Dunnigan.
The incident is occurring close to the boundary between Yolo and Colusa counties.
Heavy traffic can be seen on I-5 in both directions close to the Dunning region in the video from LiveCopter 3, which is south of the boundaries of Yolo and Colusa counties. Dunnigan is about 20 miles north of Woodland.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a shooting caused the traffic jam, and the crime scene was located around 25 minutes from Dunnigan in the Williams neighborhood in Colusa County.
According to reports it appears the incident started as a shooting in Colusa County. A shirtless subject was seen being taken into custody by authorities at the scene.
On the southbound I-5 lanes, a medical helicopter could be seen parked.

Investigators said the suspects shot at Canton police officers, wounding one of them, leaving one suspect in arrest and another on the run.
Just before 6 o’clock in the evening, two suspects allegedly opened fire on two detectives who were engaged in an investigation in the 200 block of 12th Street NW, according to the police.
Minor injuries were sustained by one of the officers.
One of the suspects, 22-year-old Canton resident Braylen Smallwood, was successfully apprehended by law police in the area.
He faces charges for attempted murder, felony assault on a police officer, and firing a gun at or near an illegal structure. Police are looking for the second suspect, identified as 21-year-old Trezjon Allen, of Massillon. Investigators say he should be considered armed and dangerous.
