Brockton, Massachusetts shooting: 14-year-old dead, woman injured and in critical condition

An overnight shooting on Tribou Street, in Brockton, Massachusetts, left a young teenager dead and a woman seriously injured, the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office announced.

The Brockton Police officers responded to 93 Tribou St. after receiving reports that a 14-year-old boy and a 39-year-old woman were shot. The teen was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of his injuries. The woman was taken to Boston Medical Center, where she is in critical condition.

A suspect has been taken into custody, the district attorney said. The suspect has, however, not been named. This is the second homicide in Brockton this year. This follows the Dollar Tree shooting on Jan. 31.
