Trabuco Canyon shooting supect a retired law enforcement officer, incident started as dispute between him and wife: Reports
At least five people, including the shooter, were killed at Cook’s Corner Bar in Orange County’s Trabuco Canyon on Wednesday night. The shooting suspect is reportedly a former law enforcement officer from outside of the area, The Orange County Register reported. The shooting incident started a domestic dispute between the suspect and his wife, which soon escalated and 11 people were shot, CBS News reported.

What we know so far about the shooting:
Orange County deputies responded to Cook’s Corner in the 19000 block of Santiago Canyon Road on Wednesday night after receiving multiple reports of a shooting incident. Cook’s Corner is a popular biker bar where it was Spaghetti Night.
Preliminary reports suggest that at least 11 people were shot. Five people were killed, including the shooter. Six others were rushed to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions were not known.
California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s office issued a statement saying he was monitoring the shooting “and coordinating with local officials as more details become available.”

Meanwhile, photos from the scene shared on social media showed a large smear of blood on the floor of the bar. Images showed at least three bodies on the ground covered by sheets.
Supervisor Katrina Foley issued a statement saying, “Heartbroken to hear of another senseless mass shooting, this time in our own backyard. My office has received updates from the DA and Sheriff’s Department, I am continuing to watch this closely.”
