A Delta Airline passenger was taken into custody by the FBI after she slapped a fellow flyer allegedly for not wearing a mask. The incident took place aboard a Delta flight from Tampa to Atlanta on Thursday.
In a statement on Sunday, the Atlanta police said the woman, identified as Patricia Cornwall, was accused of causing a “disturbance” aboard Flight 2790 that led to the “injury of fellow passengers and Delta employees.”

Meanwhile, in a video shared by ATL Uncensored on Twitter, the woman can be standing in the aisle cursing at an elderly male passenger.
“Put your mask on!” she yells at the man, who shoots back saying, “Sit down, Karen!”
He tells her that he wouldn’t put on his mask while eating and drinking. The woman, however, repeats her demand before eventually striking the man in the face. The flight crew and co-passengers get involved and attempt to restrain her and push her back to her seat. She then spits on the man, who tells her she is going to jail.
They eventually managed to get Cornwall under control and as soon as the flight landed, she was taken into custody.

“Based on the statements gathered and visible evidence, officers detained Ms. Cornwall and contacted the on-call FBI agent. The officers then relocated with Ms. Cornwall to the domestic Atlanta Police precinct where FBI agents responded and took custody of Ms. Cornwall,” police said in a statement.
The charges filed against her were not known.
Meanwhile, confirming the incident, a Delta representative told New York Post in an email, “Flight 2790 from Tampa to Atlanta was met by law enforcement after an unruly customer disturbance during flight.”
“Situations like these are rare for the vast majority of our customers and Delta has zero tolerance for unruly behavior at our airports and aboard our aircraft.”
