Eminem, the iconic American rapper, has officially made a plea to Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, urging him to cease the use of his musical creations in the political campaign.

The call to action came to light through a communication dated August 23 from BMI, a renowned performing rights organization. The artist, who openly endorsed Joe Biden for the presidency, requested that his music no longer be licensed for Ramaswamy’s political activities.

The revelation, initially reported by the Daily Mail, highlighted the decision to revoke the licensing of Eminem’s music for Ramaswamy’s campaign following the artist’s formal request. The official letter, issued by BMI, emphasized Eminem’s objection to the utilization of his musical compositions, collectively referred to as the “Eminem Works,” within the context of Ramaswamy’s campaign.

Promptly acknowledging the artist’s request, Ramaswamy’s campaign expressed its commitment to complying with the directive. The use of Eminem’s music in the campaign’s political endeavors will be promptly discontinued, in alignment with the artist’s wishes.

Vivek Ramaswamy, a prominent figure in the tech industry, has recently surged in popularity within the Republican primary race. Despite his relative political inexperience, his campaign has garnered attention for its distinct strategy, which involves positioning his political opponents as deeply entrenched in vested interests.
