Facebook has removed a video featuring former US president Donald Trump due to his indefinite suspension from the platform, a company spokesperson said.

The spokesperson was contacted by NBC News.

Trump’s daughter-in-law, Lara Trump, posted the video featuring the former president. She was interviewing him in the said video. Lara Trump had teased the interview in an Instagram photo of the sit-down on Tuesday.

Later the same day, she posted an email from facebook on her instagram that said the company was taking down the video.

“…and just like that, we are one step closer to Orwell’s 1984. Wow,” Lara Trump said in the post.

“In line with the block we placed on Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, further content posted in the voice of Donald Trump will be removed and result in additional limitations on the accounts,” the email posted by Lara said.

Trump was banned from the social media giant after the January 6 Capitol riots perpetrated by his supporters, after he claimed that election he lost to Joe Biden was fraud. Facebook had put an indefinite ban on him.
