New York Governor compared me to her ex-girlfriends: Former aide
- Lindsey worked as an economic advisor for his administration for nearly three years
- She has written about her experience in a blog on the website, Medium
- Boylan had first tweeted about this is December but did not elaborate on the details
Lindsey Boylan, who accused New York Governor Andrew Cuomo of sexual harassment, has shared new details of the incidents on Wednesday.
A former aide of Governor Andrew Cuomo’s administration, Boylan says that he used to compare her to one of his ex-girlfriends, once joked about playing strip poker and “would go out of his way to touch me on my lower back, arms and legs.”

Lindsey worked as an economic advisor for his administration for nearly three years and claims that Cuomo once kissed her on the lips without her consent after a private meeting.
She wrote about the incident in a blog on the website, Medium.
“As I got up to leave and walk toward an open door, he stepped in front of me and kissed me on the lips. I was in shock, but I kept walking,” she said. “The idea that someone might think I held my high-ranking position because of the Governor’s ‘crush’ on me was more demeaning than the kiss itself.”

Boylan had first tweeted about this is December, saying that Governor Cuomo sexually harassed her but did not elaborate on the details of the incident. The governor had denied the allegations back then saying, “Look, I fought for and I believe a woman has the right to come forward and express her opinion and express issues and concerns that she has, but it’s just not true.”
Caitlin Girouard, Governor Cuomo’s spokesperson, said on Wednesday that “claims of inappropriate behaviour are quite simply false.”
As per Boylan, there had been multiple incidents where Governor Cuomo had misused his power to mistreat others. She also said there were others who had gone through similar experiences.
“His inappropriate behaviour toward women was an affirmation that he liked you, that you must be doing something right,” Boylan said. “He used intimidation to silence his critics. And if you dared to speak up, you would face consequences.”
