- She shared her experience about childbirth and parenthood
New mom Gigi Hadid came to shoot for the cover of Vogue magazine just 10 weeks after she gave birth to her baby girl, Khai Hadid. The magazine revealed on its Instagram post that the name Khai means ‘the chosen one’ in Arabic. Appearing on the magazine’s March cover, the 25-year-old looks stunning in a Prada coat. Her hair is put down that looks like a brown cascade.
Sharing her experiences as a mother, she opened up about her priorities that have shifted now as she has taken on this new role in life. Unlike other celebrities, she does not have a nanny or a baby nurse because she thinks parenthood is something that one has to figure out by oneself.
Her look for Vogue was put together by Gabriella Karefa-Johnson. Jimmy Paul styled her hair, and makeup was done by Dick Page. This was Hadid’s first solo cover on Vogue.
Gigi Hadid and her partner, Zayn Mallik, had opted for a home birth. During the delivery, she was supported by her close ones, along with a midwife and her assistance. The baby was born in September 2020 at Hadid’s home in Pennsylvania.
When approached for the shoot, Hadid told them a spontaneous yes but admitted that she did not have the body she had before she conceived her child. She also spoke to Vogue about how she is in no hurry to go back to the ‘zero figure’ shape.
The Vogue photoshoot was done in December last year in Manhattan.
