Jen Psaki gives ‘no credit’ to Donald Trump for US COVID-19 vaccine rollout
- "I don't think anyone deserves credit when half a million people in the country have died," Psaki said
- "All data points to the fact," she added
- President Joe Biden himself has credited the Trump administration's efforts in the past
White House press secretary Jen Psaki refused to give the Trump administration any credit for the COVID-19 vaccine rollout in the United States, responding to the former president’s claims at his appearance at CPAC .
“I don’t think anyone deserves credit when half a million people in the country have died of this pandemic,” Psaki was quoted as saying by ABC News.
“What our focus is on, and what the president’s focus is on when he came into office just over a month ago, was ensuring that we had enough vaccines,” she said.

“All data points to the fact that there were not enough of any of those things when he took office,” Psaki added.
President Joe Biden himself has credited the Trump administration’s efforts regarding the pandemic in the past.
“We want to give credit to everyone involved in this vaccine effort and the prior administration and the science community and the medical sphere for getting the program off the ground,” Biden said in January.
