Kanye West and antisemitism, what’s Balenciaga saying?

Ye, formerly known as Kanye West and his new beau-turned-wife Bianca Censori were spotted on Wednesday shopping at Balenciaga, despite the brand dropping him for his antisemitic remarks.

The couple was spotted at the clothing store on Wednesday night, with multiple bags filled with apparel from the store. 

From opening for the company’s Paris Fashion Week show to the brand cutting him off in October, several companies started dropping him simultaneously when he started ranting about several antisemitic rants.

Last November, Balenciaga came under scrutiny for presenting the world with a photoshoot with what looks like children holding teddy bears- with a BDSM theme; with the teddy bears wearing bondage gear. 

Some photos also depict, when zoomed in, court documents from a child sexual abuse case. 

The company issued an apology on their Instagram story, “We take this matter very seriously and are taking legal action against the parties responsible for creating the set and including unapproved items for our Spring 23 campaign photoshoot. We strongly condemn abuse of children in any form. We stand for children’s safety and well-being.”

It doesn’t end there. Kanye West’s visit to Australia- home to his new wife may be under threat because of his antisemitic views. 

His now-deleted account also seemed to show his concrete hatred towards Jews, with his tweets saying “ I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death com 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE the funny thing is I actually can’t be anti-semitic because black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to blackball anyone who opposes your agenda”
