Amid a destructive tornado in Tennessee, a massive explosion occurred in Nashville. Videos shared by @BrandonDavisBD on X captured the tornado’s impact across mid-state Tennessee and southern Kentucky, prompting widespread damage and tornado warnings from the National Weather Service.

The tornado was confirmed in North Clarksville of Montgomery County, Tennessee, around 2 p.m., as reported by an Emergency Management Agency spokesperson. A WZTV traffic camera recorded the tornado’s presence, underscoring the severe weather event.

As the tornado continued its destructive path, new warnings were issued for Dickson, Montgomery, Cheatham, Robertson, Davidson, and Sumner counties in Tennessee, along with Logan County in Kentucky. The widespread nature of the tornado’s reach raised concerns for the safety of residents across multiple regions.

Emergency services, including the Clarksville Police Department, Clarksville Fire Rescue, and Montgomery County EMS, mobilized to address extensive tornado damage. Northeast High School in Clarksville opened as a shelter. The Tennessee Emergency Management Agency is assessing the impacts.

Mayor Pitts and Chief Crockarell urged citizens to stay at home if possible, allowing emergency responders the necessary space to operate effectively. Ft. Campbell Blvd. was temporarily shut down, redirecting traffic onto the 101st Airborne Division Parkway. Pisgah Elementary, initially designated as a shelter, faced power issues, prompting a shift to Northeast High School.
