“Ukrainians have proven they can fight more professionally than an army that has been waging wars for decades in various regions and conditions. We respond with wisdom and courage to the great number of their equipment and soldiers sent to Ukraine,” Zekensky said in a video address.

On Saturday, Oleksiy Danilov, Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council Secretary, said that the country is set to load up on its weaponry, thanks to a new shipment of US weapons. The shipment will include Stinger and Javelin missiles.

“The (weapons) will be on our country’s territory in the near future. We’re talking about days here,” Danilov said.

With Ukraine’s allies stepping up, Russia has sent a warning to the West.

“We warned the US that pumping weapons into Ukraine from a number of countries orchestrated by them is not only a risky move but also an action that turns the corresponding convoys into legitimate targets,” Sergey Ryabkov, Russia’s Deputy Foreign Minister said, according to Russian state news agency TASS.
