US President Donald Trump suggested delaying the 2020 election on Thursday, citing the coronavirus pandemic. Trump, who is currently lagging badly in the polls, made the suggestion through his Twitter account and added that there would be “fraudulent” voting if the elections were to go on in November.

“Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???” Trump asked in a tweet.”With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history. It will be a great embarrassment to the USA,” the tweet said.

The US Presidential Election is scheduled for November 3, 2020. Voters will have to elect between Republic incumbent President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence or the Democratic nominee Joe Biden who is yet to announce his pick for the post of Vice President.
