Rapper Big Scarr reportedly passed away at the age of 22 on Thursday, leaving his fans shocked.
His record label Gucci Mane’s confirmed his death in an Instagram post. “This hurts,” Gucci Mane posted. “I’m a miss you.”
The official cause of the death of Scarr has not been revealed yet, although social media reports suggested that he might have been shot in Memphis.

According to one of Scarr’s last Instagram posts, he was set to go on tour with Key Glock, as part of his “Glockoma Tour 2023.” Glock is a rapper from Memphis.
Broken-hearted fans flocked to Twitter to pay tribute to the deceased rapper and express their disbelief.
“Why they gotta take big scarr away from us,” one of them said, while another wrote, “Big Scarr use to be jus naturally funny. Ain’t no way man.” One more said, “Big Scarr was only 22 years old man :(” Another user wrote, “We Really lost Takeoff, Teddy Ray & Big Scarr this year.” One of them commented, “Is big scarr really gone???”

Big Scarr, whose real name was Alexander Woods, rose to fame was his track SoIcyBoyz, which features Pooh Shiesty and Foogiano. He signed with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records and quickly gained an even bigger following. He released his debut mixtape, Big Grim Reaper, on April 16, 2021. It peaked at number 25 on the Billboard 200, selling 22,000 copies in its first week. This also earned Big Scarr his first charting project.
Before his death, he had over 928,000 Instagram followers. In March,
Scarr was also scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud California.
In 2020, he was shot in the hip. Since the bullet traveled up to his spine, the rapper had to have his appendix taken out. He also had to put his right leg back into alignment.
