According to Orange County Sheriff John Mina, Moses shot and killed a woman he was acquainted with inside a vehicle and fled late Wednesday morning. Lyons and Walden showed up at the scene to cover the slaying for Spectrum 13 News when Moses allegedly returned to the scene and shot the journalists. Lyons was killed at the scene and Walden was gravely injured.
The suspect then allegedly slipped inside a neighborhood home and shot a mother and her 9-year-old daughter. While the mother was critically injured, the child died. He was arrested and charged with murder and possession of a firearm. Additional charges are pending. A motive has not been determined yet. Police believe Moses had no connection to the journalists, the mother, and her daughter.
