Florida Governor Ron DeSantis didn’t hold back, claiming that the previous president had “lost the zip on his fastball” when criticizing competitor Donald Trump.

DeSantis, who is 45 years old, made a statement that was similar to what Trump had said about the 80-year-old President Joe Biden. Trump frequently makes fun of Biden for what he believes to be a deterioration in mental clarity, bringing up incidents such as the president’s cautious exit from Air Force One and sporadic stumbles on stage.

DeSantis also directly attacked Trump for an odd comment he made at an event in Derry, New Hampshire, stressing the need for poll watching above casting a ballot.

DeSantis while campaigning in New Hampshire launched a scathing attack on Donald Trump. He said, “He is wedded to the teleprompter. He can’t get off that teleprompter! Any time he does, he says things like ‘don’t vote.’ He’s telling people not to vote. Like we have all the votes we need? Really?!”

He further added, “He’s telling people not to vote like we have all the votes we need. Really? Like, wait a minute, you lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton in 2016. You don’t have all the votes you need.”

Tuesday, following a day of campaigning in New Hampshire, saw Trump return to a Manhattan courtroom. He has officially declared that he will not be participating in the third presidential debate, which is scheduled to occur in Florida, close to his Mar-a-Lago home.

In his speech, Trump acknowledged that this strategy might not be well received in Iowa and New Hampshire and emphasized the need to win over people. He applauded the primary system and emphasized that people want candidates to work hard. Mediaite reported on the remarks. Gov. Chris Sununu of New Hampshire, who has pushed for Republicans to take into account candidates other than Trump, was with him at this gathering.
