Russian aggression in Ukraine ‘deeply concerning’: White House

The White House on Thursday said that Russia’s increasing military presence is “increasingly” worrying the United States.

Press Secretary Jen Psaki said while talking to reporters, “Russia now has more troops on the border of Ukraine than at any time since 2014.”

She said, “The United States is increasingly concerned by recent escalating Russian aggressions in eastern Ukraine, including Russian troop movements on Ukraine’s border.”

“These are all deeply concerning signs,” she added.

Psaki expressed concerns about the increased fighting between Ukrainian troops and Moscow-backed separatists, reported AFP. 

While referring to the unrest and violence in Northern Ireland, the press secretary earlier said, “We are concerned by the violence in Northern Ireland,” and called for a “calm” along with other countries.
