Sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan mansion sold for $51 million

  • The money will be transferred to help Epstein Victims' Compensation Programme (EVCP)

American financier and a convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s Manhattan mansion was recently sold for approximately $51 million and the money will be transferred to Epstein Victims’ Compensation Programme (EVCP), as per a CNN report.

The compensation offers were earlier suspended by the programme due to some funding uncertainties. However, independent administrator of the programme Jordy Feldman told the CNN that the suspension will lift up once the financial issues are solved.

She said, “We are eager to resume issuing compensation offers as soon as possible. Once we have more information about the amount of funds that will be made available to the programme and when, I will decide when we can lift the suspension and get back to full programme operations.”

Jeffrey Epstein was charged under sex trafficking of minors in Florida and New York. He was arrested on July 6, 2019 and was later found dead in his cell. Epstein died by suicide on August 10, 2019.
