Multimedia messaging app Snapchat has become the next in the line of social media platforms suspending President Donald Trump’s account, in an attempt to limit his reach after the violence at the US Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

“Last week we announced an indefinite suspension of President Trump’s Snapchat account, and have been assessing what long term action is in the best interest of our Snapchat community,” a Snapchat spokesperson said, as per AFP reports.

A wild mob of right-wing, Pro-Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol complex on January 6, as Congress convened to certify President-elect Joe Biden’s November 3 win.
