The Who are coming to Cincinnati for the first time since the 1979 concert disaster.

On May 15, the British rock band will perform at TQL Stadium as part of their “The Who Hits Back!” tour in 2022.

The Who had been planned to perform at Northern Kentucky University’s BB&T arena in 2020, but the performance was cancelled because to the COVID-19 epidemic.

This year marks the 43rd anniversary of the Riverfront Coliseum music stampede, in which 11 teenagers and young adults were killed and dozens were injured.

Roger Daltrey, co-founder of The Who, paid a visit to Finneytown High School in 2019 to see memorials erected to three Finneytown High School students: Stephan Preston, Jackie Eckerle, and Karen Morrison.

Fred Wittenbaum and friends established the P.E.M. Memorial Scholarship Fund, which awards annual scholarships to Finneytown High School seniors who are pursuing higher study in the arts, particularly music.

According to a press release, The Who will donate to the P.E.M Memorial in addition to their comeback concert at TQL Stadium.

How to get tickets to The Who

SeatGeek will begin selling tickets on Friday at 10 a.m. local time.

Beginning Monday at 10 a.m. and ending Thursday at 10 p.m., American Express Card members can purchase tickets in select markets before the general public.

The Who’s fan club presale begins at 10 a.m. local time on Wednesday and ends at 10 p.m. local time on Thursday.
