Democrat Joe Biden seared ahead in the race to the White House by winning the state of Wisconsin 49.4% to 48.8%. By winning he flipped the state that Donald Trump had won in 2016. Out of the 538 electoral college seats, Biden now has 253, while Trump has 214.

A candidate needs to secure 270 electoral seats to secure victory. There are six states still left uncalled, including key battlegrounds such as Pennsylvania and Arizona — meaning both Trump and Biden still have a path to victory.

Trump has already won 23 states including big prizes Florida and Texas, as well as Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri and Ohio — all states he won in 2016.

Biden has captured 20 states including his home state Delaware and big prizes California and New York, as well as the US capital.
