President Donald Trump on Tuesday fielded questions at the ABC town hall meeting in Philadelphia. Trump was confronted by undecided voters who quizzed him on pertinent issues of healthcare, the handling of COVID-19 and issues of police brutality.

Ellesia Blaque, one such voter, quizzed Trump on his plans pertaining to Obamacare, Medicare and whether his unannounced health care plan would protect citizens with preexisting conditions. Blaque, who is an Assistant Professor of African Literature at Husson University, said that Trump’s answer broke her heart and made her angry.

Blaque, who suffers from a chronic medical condition called sarcoidosis and neurosarcoidosis quizzed Trump on whether his healthcare bill would keep the same insurance protections. She also asked the President of United States point-blank on what he would do to protect citizens like her who suffer from such preexisting conditions.

Blaque asked Trump “Should pre-existing conditions, which Obamacare brought to fruition, be removed?” and added, “I will be dead without my medication within 36 to 72 hours.”

Blaque also demanded to know “What you(Trump) are going to do to ensure, that people like me who work hard, people with preexisting conditions can stay insured? ”

She also said “It’s not my fault that I was born with a preexisting condition,” and added that her being a black woman minimised her chances in life and enquired that President of the United States if he had a medical plan tailor-made to protect the interests of people like her.

Later recounting her experience at a CNN show, Blaque said that the President’s answers “broke my heart and made me extremely angry.”

Narrating her experience Blaque said, “When the event concluded, I left the constitution hall, and I broke down and I cried.”

Recounting the incident Blaque said that the President did not address her question at all and added that Trump took her query and went on to discredit ObamaCare.

Later on CNN, she explained her problem and said, “As sick and differently-abled people who have diseases we cannot insure, diseases that we are born with, we have a right to exist.”

She also explained her initial reluctance to vote in November, during the show and later added that she would vote for a Biden-Harris ticket.
