Police were looking for a 12-year-old girl who was abducted in a pickup truck early Saturday near Corinth.

Angie Carrasco, who was last seen around 1:45 a.m. Saturday in the 2700 block of Cherokee Trail, is the subject of an Amber Alert. According to officials, she was in grave or immediate danger.

Officials later cancelled the Amber Alert on Carrasco.

The girl was recovered safe in Carrollton on Saturday, according to Corinth Police. According to the Carrollton Police Department, a Facebook user recognised her in the city and contacted authorities.

Carrasco is Hispanic, 5-1, and 120 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. She was previously reported to be last seen wearing a T-shirt, black shorts, and Croc-style shoes in black.

According to police, the girl was picked up by someone driving a silver, newer-model Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. The licence plate of the vehicle is still unknown.
