Who is Bryanna Barozzini? Ohio teen stabs, kills 17-year-old Halia Culbertson

In a tragic incident that shook the community of East Columbus, Ohio, a 17-year-old girl named Halia Culbertson was stabbed to death by an 18-year-old girl, Bryanna Barozzini. According to police reports, the altercation began inside a store but escalated outside, where Barozzini allegedly swung a knife at Culbertson, fatally injuring her.

The incident occurred near a strip mall that houses several stores, including a thrift store, a woman’s boutique, a nail salon, a sports store, and a Dollar General. 

The altercation escalated outside, and Culbertson suffered a single stab wound, which unfortunately proved to be fatal, despite her being rushed to the hospital.

Following the stabbing, Barozzini fled the scene, but the police later arrested her at her residence. She has been charged with murder and released on bond amounting to $750,000.

During her court appearance, Barozzini’s defense team argued that the stabbing was an act of self-defense, but they did not provide any further details. The case is ongoing, and the community is grappling with the loss of Culbertson, who was described as a kind and loving person. 

Her brother, Austin, created a GoFundMe page titled “Halia Culbertson lost too soon” to help pay for her funeral expenses.
